Instructors

RON PEYTON is the owner and director of the school.  As a master woodworker, he has over 35 years experience.  Ron has shown numerous pieces of his custom made furniture and recently won First Place in the Master's Level, Best of Show, and People's Choice Award for his "Gentleman's Toolchest"

CRAIG SATTERLEE is an accomplished woodworker of 25 years and teaches at the Institute as well as the Center For Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine.  Craig also played a major role in developing the curriculum for the Foundations For Fine Woodworking Courses.
JIM STAFFORD is an experienced woodworker with expertise in teaching new woodworkers how to use hand and power tools with precision.  Coming from an engineering background, Jim knows how quality furniture is made and put together.  He also teaches for Woodcraft in Roswell, GA.
JIM DION has been designing and building furniture for 30 years and has shown his famous clocks at woodworking shows with award winning results.  A past president of the Woodworker's Guild of Georgia, Jim's professional background is in manufacturing management, production engineering, and workplace safety.
JAY WIGGINS is a full-time furniture maker and member of the Arts & Crafts Council where he has won many awards for his design and construction of contemporary furniture.  Jay has a very impressive portfolio of projects he has built and shown.
WILLIAM HILL has over 30 years experience in the furniture industry starting in North Carolina.  William also teaches several courses on building special jigs and fixtures to be used with most power tools.  He makes very impressive furniture with emphasis on design.
CHRIS SCHLEIER has been working with wood for over 20 years and has experience in making and teaching Windsor Chairs as well as instruction in how to make the Shaker Table.  He has developed several techniques that make woodworking even easier.  Chris also teaches at Woodcraft in Roswell, Georgia.

JESUS MOliNA is the shop foreman at the Institute and assists in teaching the labs.  He has a unique skill in sharpening tools and keeping all of the equipment at the school in tip-top condition.  He is consistently rated "the most helpful person at the school".
