REGISTRATION
THE REGISTRATION PROCESS:

  1. You may want to call the Institute first to check on the availability of space in a particular course. Space is limited and classes fill rapidly. Call toll free 1-800-533-2440 or 770-751-9571
  2.  Depending upon the course for which you register, there may be a materials charge for the lumber needed to build that project (see class fee schedule for details). A tool list will be provided when you register so that you may plan ahead

You will be expected to sign a waiver of liability with the school prior to the beginning of class. If you are on any medications that could impair your judgment in using woodworking tools, you must notify the school before you begin. Most of these tools are very sharp and could potentially be dangerous if not used correctly. The school stresses safety with all tools. Students are expected to comply with these safety rules at all times.
Mail your registration to: The Dogwood Institute School of Fine Woodworking, 1640 Mid-Broadwell Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004.

REGISTRATION/CANCELLATION POLICIES:

  • A deposit is required to hold a position in a course ($50 for a two-day course, $100 for a five-day). This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE to another course.  Thirty days prior to the start date of the course the remaining balance will be due. It is your responsibility to make a final payment to ensure your space in the class as no reminder or invoice will be sent. If a credit card was used as payment for the deposit, the balance will be charged to this same credit card without notification, unless otherwise instructed. Final payment must be received 30 days prior to the start date of the course or your registration will be cancelled and your reserved space will be forfeited. NO MONIES WILL BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON if cancellation is received within 30 days of the course.
You are paying for a space in the course which is being reserved for you. We have limited spaces in each course, and should you cancel, you are denying other participants the opportunity to enroll. Therefore, you are still responsible for that space regardless of the reason for cancelling. Please review the following cancellation policies to avoid any unforeseen problems.

  • IF DOGWOOD CANCELS PRIOR TO THE COURSE START DATE: THE PARTICIPANT WILL RECEIVE A FULL REFUND OF TUITION PAID. If a course is in progress, and is interrupted by acts of God, including natural disaster(s), and/or due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, no refunds will be issued. Dogwood is not responsible for reimbursement of any expenses incurred, including airline tickets.
CANCELLATIONS FOR TRANSFERS, GIFT CERTIFICATES OR LETTERS OF CREDIT: If the participant registered using a gift certificate or letter of credit, or if the participant has been transferred from another course, and the participant cancels without re-scheduling, the participant will be reissued another gift certificate or letter of credit for the original amount less an administrative fee of $50.00 for two or three day courses and $100.00 for week long courses.
